Product Description |
|
Enamel-on-Steel Loop Teakettle 1.8 quart, Chili Red. The kettle's smooth, flat base features an aluminum core for efficient heat conduction and solid contact with the burner. The bottom is safe for use with ceramic, glass, and induction stovetops. You will know when the water is boiling once the harmonious whistle sounds its two notes. In addition, the kettle offers a spring-loaded, stay-open flipper that keeps your fingers away from the steam.

Bought as a Christmas present

| I bought this 3 years ago for my mother, who uses it all the time. The finish still looks good and it serves it purpose. |
GREAT DESIGN

A present for my wife, this is a GREAT design. It is easy to hold and VERY easy to pour. Wife happy, me happy.
The first time you hear the low pitch of the whistle is a "what the heck is that?" experience, but a nice change from the screaming "pfffweeeeet" of the usual pot. |
Attractive AND Functional!

| LOVE this teakettle! After having used several traditional whistling kettles, I decided to give this one a try. No regrets! It adds a touch of cheerful color to the kitchen. The sound is really great and reminds me of a distant train. I am gladly and permanently bidding the shrill whistles "good-bye"! This is a "good buy"! |
excellent customer service

| I used to have the Oxo uplift which is very nice but a bit too modern or aggressive looking. I read most of the reviews were, and of the more attractive kettles there was some comment about someone consulting w/Chantal about how to get their kettle to whistle. Oddly enough, this is a salient complaint in many of the reviews, though I have not doubt it is only a minority of kettles of any brand that lose this ability. Anyhow, it would appear that only Chantal has some adjustments they could suggest over the phone and given no other compelling reason to chose a kettle, I chose them. Well I just melted my whistle. The Enamel Loop Teakettle is about the height of an all clad sauce pan so watch out. I called them up, and they offered a solution not on their website (they will allow me to send it in and get a discount on a new one). Quite generous. Thanks Bobby G at Chantal. |
Great Harmonics

| I love this kettle! It does everything a tea kettle should, but with the added bonus of a really melodious whistle. It starts off low, then rises in volume, and has wonderful harmonics that are a pleasure to hear. |
